This small-group Saint-Emilion morning tour from Bordeaux takes you inside a distinguished Grand Cru château for a visit and tasting, then on a peaceful walk through the UNESCO medieval village in the cool morning air, before you head back to enjoy the rest of your day.
Start your day the peaceful way, with a morning tour of Saint-Emilion, Bordeaux’s Right Bank gem, where world-class wines and centuries of history await, in the cool and quiet of the morning.
Your experience begins with an exclusive visit to a distinguished local winery. From the vines to the cellar, learn about traditional winemaking methods and the unique terroir that gives Saint-Emilion its global reputation. A guided tasting of several wines is included, of course!
You’ll then head into the medieval village of Saint-Emilion, a UNESCO World Heritage site, at the most peaceful time of day. Accompanied by your guide, you’ll stroll through quiet cobblestone streets, admire Romanesque architecture, and hear stories that trace back over a thousand years, all before the midday heat and the crowds settle in. From its monolithic church carved into limestone rock to panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards, the village offers a rich blend of culture, beauty, and timeless elegance.
A perfect balance of wine discovery and historical exploration, this tour is an ideal way to experience the calm, authentic soul of Saint-Emilion, while still having your afternoon free to explore Bordeaux or simply relax during the hottest hours of the day. Ideal for travelers trying to fit everything into a weekend, without too much organization or stress, and without the summer heat.
