This private Cognac tour from Bordeaux takes you deep into the world’s most celebrated eau-de-vie region — with exclusive
access to two iconic distilleries, expert-led tastings and a fully tailor-made experience designed around your group.
Only a short driving distance from Bordeaux, Cognac has some wonderful surprises in store for you! Are you a curious amateurs of this sumptious ‘eau-de-vie’, or a brandy devotee? Either way, Bordeaux Wine Trails invites you on a day trip to the historical vineyards of Cognac, to refine your knowledge and tastebuds, all the while guided by local connoisseurs.
Ideal for a team building or a bachelor party, this private tour in and around Cognac gives you exclusive access to two greatly renowned Cognac houses, as you discover their unique production methods, and of course, taste their famous brandy!
After a comfortable trip from Bordeaux in one of our premium minivans, your group will enjoy a guided visit of a local distillery, tasting the different Cognacs of this exceptional house. After dining in a local restaurant, you will discover yet another distillery, even more exclusive than the last.
Our guides will be happy to reveal all the secrets of Cognac production and share numerous anecdotes and facts about the historical city and its authentic surroundings. This is a rare opportunity to get up close and personal in a privatized setting, learning from and tasting with the winemakers themselves. Get off the beaten track, explore what else the south west has to offer.
Beyond the tour
Some days deserve more than a great tour. On request, we can arrange exclusive access to private dining experiences at both Hennessy and Martell — intimate lunches where each dish is paired with the house’s finest eaux-de-vie, in settings rarely open to the public. Details available soon.
And if one day simply isn’t enough, consider staying the night at the 5-star Hôtel Chais Monnet & Spa — a beautifully converted distillery on the River Charente, with a Michelin-starred restaurant, rooftop lounge and a spa that makes leaving feel like a bad idea.
Get in touch and we’ll design the rest around you.
