Are you a wine lover? Have you always wanted to discover the secrets of Bordeaux’s greatest wineries? Well, we have the perfect getaway for you – a sensational escape to some of France’s most famous vineyards.

Enjoy tastings in the heart of the wineries, learn about local history and eat gourmet food in the regions of Saint-Emilion, Médoc, Graves and the idyllic city of Bordeaux itself.

You’ll have the chance to experience and discover a diverse variety of wine appellations and styles!

Not only will you get to meet the winemakers and experience their passion for winemaking, but you’ll be able to interact with them, ask questions and satisfy your curiosity over a delicious glass of wine.

 

Program

Day 1 – Welcome to Bordeaux

10 a.m.

 

2.5h Guided city bike tour in Bordeaux. Visit the city’s main neighborhoods via the narrow streets and monuments. A few surprises will await you along the way…Enjoy a french breakfast halfway through! (optionnal)
1 p.m. Lunch at your leisure
3:30 p.m. Go to Saint-Emilion in your own vehicle
4:30 p.m Check-in at your B&B/hotel for one night (double or twin room)
5 p.m. Tour and wine tasting at a winery in the Saint-Emilion vineyard
8 p.m. Dinner at your leisure

Overnight stay

 

Day 2 – En route to Saint-Emilion

 – After breakfast, check-out and departure for the village of Saint-Emilion

Stroll through the village and explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site at your leisure

10 :15 a.m Public tour of the village’s underground monuments and the amazing Monolitic church (optionnal)
10:30 a.m. Wine tasting at a wine shop in the village. The wines are from appellations neighboring Saint-Emilion’s vineyards
11 a.m. Depart for Pomerol with your own vehicle
11:30 a.m. Tour and wine tasting at a winery in Pomerol where you’ll taste local specialties. Perfect for a French aperitif!
12:30 p.m. Lunch at your leisure

 

Day 2 – Graves wineries

3 p.m. Depart for the vineyards of the Graves region.
4 p.m. Tour and wine tasting at a top Graves winery such as Château Pape Clément, Smith Haut Lafitte and Carbonnieux.
OPTION Tour and tasting workshop “Bordeaux Wines vs. New World Wines” at Château Pape Clément. You’ll taste wines from California and Argentina alongside with Bordeaux wines to understand the importance of the environment, the soil and making processes when it comes to wine!
6:30 p.m. Check-in at your B&B in the Graves region or a three-star hotel in Bordeaux (double or twin room).
8 p.m. Dinner at your leisure

Overnight stay

 

Day 3 – The Médoc vineyard

 – After breakfast, check-out and morning at leisure in the vineyards of the Graves or in Bordeaux.
1:50 p.m. Guided small group wine tour in Médoc or Saint Emilion

Meet your guide in front of the Bordeaux tourist office. Time for your main driver to enjoy some wine tasting too!

2 p.m. En route to the vineyards. Along the Route des Châteaux, your guide will tell you about Bordeaux’s vineyards and you’ll see some of the region’s quintessential landscapes.
3 p.m. Tour at a Grand Cru Classé winery in the Margaux or St Julien appellation followed by wine tasting.
4:30 p.m. Visit & tasting in a ‘Cru Bourgeois’ winery. Enjoy some cheese with the wines
7 p.m. Back to Bordeaux
